FairPrice, market stallholders prepare for rising Chinese New Year pork demand

Pork demand is expected to rise even further over this Chinese New Year. Supermarket chain FairPrice Group estimates it will need 20 per cent more pigs than usual, up five percentage points compared to last year. To keep things accessible, CNA further understands FairPrice will be announcing a price freeze as early as next week.
