CNA Economic Strategy Review: Acting Minister Jeffrey Siow on 4 moves to drive Singapore’s growth

Singapore’s Acting Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow outlined four “key moves” from the Economic Strategy Review Committee to support economic growth: strengthening Singapore’s lead in growth sectors like advanced manufacturing and modern services; pushing into new technologies such as quantum computing, decarbonisation and space; building end-to-end artificial intelligence capability, including research, talent and SME adoption; and deepening connectivity by supporting firms to internationalise and take on bigger overseas projects.

Mr Siow, who is the co-chair for the global competitiveness committee on the Economic Strategy Review, was speaking at a press conference on Thursday (Jan 29) with Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong and Acting Minister David Neo.
