CNA Drink driving limit in Singapore to be lowered

The drink driving limit in Singapore will be lowered, Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs Sim Ann announced in parliament on Friday (Feb 27).

This brings Singapore in line with other jurisdictions in Asia, such as Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, she said.

The Ministry of Home Affairs is also reviewing the demerit point system, especially when it comes to cases where a driver puts another person in danger on purpose.
