CNA Deliveroo to cease operations in Singapore after Mar 4

Food delivery platform Deliveroo will cease operations in Singapore after Mar 4, in a move that impacts all employees in its local team. The closure comes as its parent company pulls out of three other Asian markets. Some riders CNA spoke to said they were shocked, and are calling for greater clarity as their livelihoods hang in the balance. With only GrabFood and Foodpanda left in the food delivery market, some drivers also fear less competition could mean downward pressure on fees. Charlotte Lim reports.
