CNA DayOne programme to offer more mental well-being support for parents of special needs children

Under an expanded programme, more parents of children with developmental needs will receive support for their mental well-being. The second phase of DayOne — which is expected to benefit over 1,000 parents — offers mental health screenings and counselling services through a tiered intervention model within the community. KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital will conduct mental health screenings, while social service agency AWWA will also do so amongst its incoming parents. Those with mild to moderate support needs can continue care through KKH or transition to AWWA. Parents with higher support needs will be referred to Allkin Singapore for specialised care.
