This is the moment Qian Zhimin, also known as the “Chinese crypto queen”, was arrested in bed in her luxury UK home. She was jailed for over 11 years in the UK on Tuesday (Nov 11) for laundering the proceeds of fraud into Bitcoin, now worth over US$6 billion. The 47-year-old had a leading role in defrauding more than 128,000 Chinese pensioners through a Ponzi scheme in China. Victims believed they were investing in a company for health products and cryptocurrency.
