CNA China to stage drills around Taiwan as ‘stern warning’ following US and Japan tensions

China’s military moved army, naval, air force and rocket force units around Taiwan on Monday (Dec 29) for ⁠its “Justice Mission 2025” drills. The country said the drills were a “stern warning” against “separatist forces in Taiwan and external interference”.
The drills came after Beijing expressed anger at US arms sales to the territory and a statement by Japan’s prime minister saying that its military could get involved if China were to take action against Taiwan. #chinanews #china #taiwannews #taiwan
