CNA Back To School: Supporting students with special educational needs
In Singapore, there are currently an estimated 27,000 students with special educational needs in mainstream schools, including some without a formal diagnosis. Across both mainstream and special education schools, students with special educational needs have risen by 5% over the last three years, in part due to growing awareness and early identification. In the second part of a week-long Back To School special, CNA speaks to clinical psychologist Annabelle Chow and Pathlight School Tampines principal Wilfred Tay on supporting students with special educational needs.
