Markets ended flat on November 6, but L&T Finance stole the show, surging 11% post its Investor Day update.

While the Nifty 50 closed near the 25,500 mark, broader markets outperformed with midcap and smallcap indices rising over 0.6%.
PSU banks and metals led the gains, while IT, FMCG, and Pharma lagged behind.

Top gainers included Shriram Finance, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, Adani Enterprises, and Bajaj Finserv, while Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra, and Tata Consumer dragged due to profit booking and block deals.

Investors continue to rotate into financials and cyclicals, with broader market resilience indicating strong participation despite a muted index close.
