Christ Church East youth benefit from US-based give back project
The young people of Christ Church East, in particular, and Barbados in general, stand to benefit from a give-back project that originated in the United States.
This initiative is the brainchild of seventeen-year-old Emily Ashley, an American-born youth whose parents, Richard and Nicole Gittens-Ashley of Boulder, Colorado, migrated from Barbados over forty years ago.
Before presenting a cross-section of sports gear to the Ministera of Home Affairs and Member of Parliament for the area, Wilfred Abrahams, and teams from Christ Church East, Miss Ashley said it is just the start of bigger things to come.
Trevor Thorpe was there.
