Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson for the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and Armed Police Force delegation to the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress, says “Taiwan independence” is a dead end that runs against the tide of reunification. This year’s Government Work Report says China will resolutely fight against separatist forces aimed at “Taiwan independence,” and oppose external interference.
