Chinese FM says Iran war should not have happened, calls for ceasefire
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Sunday that the war in Iran should not have happened, stressing that “it is a war that does no one any good.” Force provides no solution, and armed conflict will only deepen hatred and breed new crises, he added. “The people in the Middle East are the true master of this region. Middle Eastern affairs should be determined by regional countries independently,” Wang said.
