China has officially commissioned the “Fujian,” its most advanced and largest aircraft carrier to date, in a high-profile ceremony attended by Xi Jinping. The Fujian marks a bold leap in China’s naval modernization—with electromagnetic catapult (EMALS) technology matching the latest US supercarriers, a 80,000+ ton displacement, and capacity for 40–60 aircraft, including advanced fighters and early-warning planes.
