China’s new Type 055 destroyer Dongguan completes 1st maritime training
China’s new Type 055 destroyer, Dongguan (Hull number 109), has finished its first maritime training. The training, held in the East China Sea, included single-vessel and joint operation drills. Equipped with advanced software and hardware, it boasts a faster response and longer detection range than existing vessels of the same class. With Dongguan’s commission, China now has 10 Type 055 destroyers.
