China welcomes Pakistan-Afghanistan ceasefire
#FMsays China on Thursday welcomed #Pakistan and #Afghanistan’s agreement to a temporary ceasefire during Eid al-Adha. FM spokesman Lin Jian said Beijing hopes the two sides will stay calm, resume peace talks as soon as possible, and work toward a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire. He added that China appreciates mediation efforts by relevant Islamic countries and will continue to play a constructive role through its own channels.
