China expands role in winter sports, boosts national development
China is sending one of its largest Winter Olympics delegations ever to the 25th Winter Games – Milano Cortina 2026. The Chinese team will compete across seven major sports, 15 disciplines and 91 events. But China’s commitment extends far beyond the Olympic arena. Over 300 million people in China are participating in ice and snow sports. CGTN’s Liu Jiaxin explains how ice and snow has become a national priority for China.
