The first Spring Festival Gala after Chinese New Year’s inscription on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list featured a unique performance that stole the show — a fusion of traditional Tibetan dance and modern street dance. Namkha Wangchen, a university teacher and member of the Xizang Street Dance Alliance, proudly helped choreograph the distinctive routine, which soon went viral on social media.
