CGTN We Talk: Brazilians reflect on 2025 and share hopes for 2026

As crowds gathered across the globe to ring in the #NewYear, their harvests and regrets of 2025, along with their hopes and blessings for #2026, were illuminated by fireworks lighting up the sky. At this moment of ushering in a new year, CGTN Stringer asked residents in #Brazil to share their reflections on 2025 and their hopes for 2026. Many Brazilians mentioned the word “change” when looking back on the past year and viewed 2026 as a new chapter about to begin. Among them, Luísa expressed her New Year’s wish for everyone to be safe, hoping that “we can enjoy these new paths that have opened up with tranquility, happiness and a sense of accomplishment.”
