Voting is underway in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) for the Legislative Council. Polling stations opened on Sunday morning, with 161 nominees competing for 90 seats. Preliminary results are expected on Monday, and the elected lawmakers will begin their four-year terms on January 1, 2026. HKSAR chief executive John Lee has urged residents to exercise their voting rights and pledged to uncover the truth behind the deadly Tai Po fire. #hongkong
