CGTN Tech review 2025｜World’s largest power-generating kite

On November 12, 2025, the world’s largest 5,000-square-meter power-generating kite took to the skies at a test site in north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Lifted to an altitude of 300 meters, the kite unfurled, while the pulling force of its traction cables activated a ground-based generator to produce electricity.
