CGTN Palestinians near Rafah border await reopening of crossing

After nearly two years of closure, the Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza partially reopened on February 1 as a trial run ahead of a full reopening expected on February 2. Egyptian authorities say tens of thousands of Palestinians have registered to cross in both directions, though it remains unclear how many will be allowed to travel each day. In Egypt’s Al Arish city near the Rafah border, many Palestinians say they are anxiously awaiting the full reopening.
