Meet Peng Bailing, the founder of “Fuqi Little Shop.” In 2020, she left her white-collar job in the city behind and returned to her hometown, Hubei Village.

There, she transformed a crumbling old house into a warm, community-gathering cafe. While preserving the original structure and turning forgotten relics into art, she created more than just a coffee shop – she built a bridge between urban and rural lives.

As the village’s “Pioneer New Villager,” her story is one of courage, connection and quiet change.
