CGTN Japanese civil group urges Takaichi to withdraw Taiwan remarks

A Japanese civil society group supporting the landmark 1995 Murayama Statement has gathered in Tokyo to reaffirm its call for historical reflection. The association, dedicated to inheriting and developing the statement, urged Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to retract her remarks about China’s Taiwan region. The group says upholding its spirit is essential to regional trust and stability.
