Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israel Defense Forces killed Haytham Ali Tabatabai, Hezbollah’s chief of staff, in an airstrike on Lebanon’s capital. Hezbollah confirmed his death and condemned Israel’s actions, calling it “a red line crossed.” Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health reported that at least five people were killed and 28 others injured in the attack.
