Iranian state media has confirmed that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in joint U.S.-Israeli strikes at his office. Born in 1939 in Mashhad, Khamenei served as Iran’s president from 1981 to 1989 before becoming the country’s supreme leader. #iran #alikhamenei
