Revised government figures put the toll from cyclone-driven floods and landslides in Indonesia at over 800 deaths, with 463 people missing across West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Aceh. In Malalak, West Sumatra, residents tried to salvage rice from flooded sacks, but farmers say much of the grain has turned muddy and sprouted, making it unfit to eat, while damaged roads and power cuts have slowed aid deliveries.
