The death toll from floods and landslides on Indonesia’s Sumatra Island has risen to more than 700 as of Tuesday, according to the country’s disaster agency.

The provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra are among the hardest-hit areas. While traveling from Balige to Lobu Pining in North Sumatra, CGTN correspondent Roberlin Purba documented the aftermath of the landslides. Although authorities have partially cleared the debris, disrupted connectivity still hampers transportation for local residents. #Disaster #Landslide #flood
