CGTN China’s space experiments bring ‘space butterfly’ to life

Nurturing Earth-based life forms in outer space has always been at the forefront of scientists’ research. Chongqing University successfully completed an in-orbit test mission relying on the Dier-5 spacecraft carried by the Kuaizhou-11 Y8 carrier rocket, achieving the fully autonomous pupation and wing extension of the “space butterfly” within the payload. This experiment verified the adaptability of Earth-based life in the extreme environment of space.
