China’s installed capacity of new-type energy storage is expected to exceed 370 GW by 2030, according to a 2026 white paper on the energy storage industry. By the end of 2025, installed capacity had reached 136 GW, up 84 percent year on year. The report also said average storage duration is expected to rise as demand for longer-duration storage grows. #coolchina
