CGTN At least 200 killed in eastern DR Congo mine collapse

At least 200 miners died after several coltan mine shafts collapsed in Rubaya, eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, on February 1. Most of the victims were artisanal miners, including women and children. The collapses occurred on Wednesday and Thursday at separate mines in Rubaya, an area that has been under rebel control since April 2024.
