Analyst warns prolonged conflict could push oil prices higher

With the conflict in the Middle East intensifying and fears the strategic Strait of Hormuz – through which roughly one-fifth of global oil passes – could be disrupted, CGTN reporter Wang Tianyu spoke with Claudio Galimberti, chief economist at Oslo-based research firm Rystad Energy. He says market reactions so far have been relatively measured, but developments in the coming weeks will be key to determining future oil prices.
