China is rolling out new measures to make travel to the Chinese mainland easier for Taiwan residents. Starting November 20, 100 ports can issue one-time Taiwan Compatriot Travel Permits for Taiwan residents wanting to travel to the Chinese mainland. A traveler at Shanghai Pudong Airport described the application process as “very convenient and quick.”
