ईरान-अमेरिका युद्ध का असर अब भारत पर भी दिखने लगा है. सरकार बार-बार कह रही है कि भारत में फिलहाल एनर्जी क्राइसिस की आशंका नहीं है, लेकिन युद्ध अब जिस तरह लंबा खिंचता जा रहा है, उसने सरकार की टेंशन बढ़ा दी है. तेल का तो देश में पर्याप्त स्टॉक है. इम्पोर्ट भी लगातार हो रहा है, लेकिन कच्चा तेल महंगा हो गया है. गैस को लेकर ज़रूर चिंता दिख रही है. होर्मूज स्ट्रेट बंद होने से गैस के आयात पर असर पड़ा है.

The impact of the Iran-US conflict is now becoming visible in India as well. The government has repeatedly asserted that there is currently no apprehension of an energy crisis in India; however, the manner in which the conflict is now dragging on has heightened the government’s concerns. While the country possesses adequate stocks of oil—and imports are continuing steadily—the cost of crude oil has risen. Concerns regarding gas supplies, however, are certainly evident; the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has adversely affected gas imports.
