Canada’s rare minerals land in the crosshairs of firm linked to Trump
Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Liberals have been vocal to foreign investors that Canada ‘has what the world needs,’ touting the country’s supply of energy and rare, critical minerals as an alternative supplier to China.

But the fifth estate has found that these calls for investment have also attracted hundreds of millions of dollars from entities linked to U.S. President Donald Trump, who’s been clear about his desire to annex countries rich in resources.
