दानापुर में मुकाबला इस बार बेहद जबरदस्त है, क्योंकि इस बार BJP ने यहां से अपने पूर्व सांसद रामकृपाल यादव को मैदान में उतारा है. इस बार भी आरजेडी की तरफ से रीतलाल यादव को टिकट दिया गया है, जो इस सीट पर मौजूदा विधायक हैं. रीतलाल यादव फिलहाल रंगदारी के एक मामले में जेल में बंद हैं. अब देखना होगा कि रीतलाल जेल से ही अपना जलवा कायम रखते हैं या फिर इस बार बीजेपी बाजी मारती है. वहीं महागठबंधन ने अपने सीएम फेस के लिए तेजस्वी यादव का ऐलान कर दिया है, साथ ही ये पूछा है कि NDA नीतीश कुमार को अपना सीएम उम्मीदवार कब घोषित करेंगे.
