बंगाल में अब तक करीब 90 लाख वोटरों के नाम कट गए हैं. नया अपडेट ये है कि 60 लाख संदिग्ध वोटरों की जांच की गई थी. इनमें से 27 लाख नाम काटे गए हैं जबकि 33 लाख वोटरों के नाम जेुनइन पाए गए हैं. अब बंगाल में कुल 6 करोड़ 78 लाख वोटर बचे हैं. SIR शुरू होने से पहले बंगाल में वोटर्स की संख्या करीब 7 करोड़ 66 लाख थी. SIR ड्राफ्ट जारी होने के बाद राज्य में करीब 63 लाख वोट कटे थे.
So far, the names of approximately 9 million voters have been struck off the rolls in Bengal. The latest update reveals that 6 million suspected voters were subjected to verification. Of these, 2.7 million names have been deleted, while 3.3 million voters were found to be genuine.Consequently, the total number of voters remaining in Bengal now stands at 67.8 million. Prior to the commencement of the SIR process, the voter count in Bengal was approximately 76.6 million. Following the release of the SIR draft, around 6.3 million names were removed from the state’s voter list.
