It’s been more than 50 years. Now Nasa is about to return to the Moon.

Four astronauts – Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen – are preparing to launch into space on a 10-day journey where they will circle the moon, travelling further from Earth than anyone has ever been before.

Their mission, called Artemis II, is part of a wider programme of missions that aim to eventually return humans to the surface of the Moon.
