'Holocaust Memorial Day is bridging generations’ | BBC Radio 4 Today

Dov Forman, a social media content creator who wrote the best-selling Lily’s Promise about his great-grandmother’s life during World War Two, says marking Holocaust Memorial Day is “more important than ever”.

Julia Kayes, who’s father Harry Olmer was one of the first Holocaust child survivors to move to the UK, said her father  was “very keen that the legacy that he began” educating people about the Holocaust continues.

The remembrance day marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, a concentration camp in Poland, in January 1945 and commemorates the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, and the millions more murdered under Nazi persecution.
