Baidu robotaxi ‘system failure’ strands passengers, stalls vehicles across Wuhan
A “system failure” caused robotaxis operated by Baidu’s Apollo Go ride-hailing service to suddenly stop on roads across Wuhan, China, on Tuesday evening (Mar 31). Police said they began receiving calls “one after another” about multiple vehicles stalled in the middle of the road.

Passengers were left stranded inside the driverless vehicles, with some involved in rear-end collisions seen in videos circulating on Chinese social media.

Authorities said passengers were able to exit the vehicles safely and no injuries were reported. The cause of the incident is under investigation. #china #chinanews #baidu #baiduapollogo
