The Supreme Court of Canada has put a temporary hold on the destruction of nearly 400 ostriches at a B.C. farm, granting a stay order while it considers whether to hear the owners’ appeal. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) had been preparing to cull the birds over concerns about avian flu.
