At least 11 Rohingya dead after boat capsizes off Langkawi; dozens more missing #CNA

Hundreds of Rohingya had set out for Malaysia two weeks ago, before being split into two boats. There were around 70 people on the vessel that sank near Langkawi, while the fate of the other boat carrying 230 passengers remains unclear.

Malaysian authorities say search operations could go on a week. So far, they have found 13 survivors and 7 bodies. In neighbouring Thailand, 4 bodies – including 2 girls – have been recovered. #rohingya #malaysia #malaysianews #myanmar #myanmarnews
