The Congress has hit back strongly at Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma over his allegations of a Pakistan link involving Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi. The party said the Chief Minister raises issues of “Mia” and Pakistan only ahead of elections. Dismissing the claims as baseless, Gogoi termed Sarma’s press conference a “super flop,” calling the allegations mindless, bogus, and unconvincing even to journalists present, escalating the political face-off in Assam.
