Vietnamese VP Begins 3-Day Official Visit to Nepal on 50th Anniv of Vietnam, Nepal diplomatic ties
Visiting Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, on a three-day official visit to Nepal, held bilateral talks with her Nepali counterpart, Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, in Kathmandu on Sunday. Later in the day, she will pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. According to Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation. Vice President Xuan will also attend a special event marking 50 years of diplomatic ties between Nepal and Vietnam. Her visit is the first high-level Vietnamese visit to Nepal. On Monday, she will meet President Ram Chandra Paudel and tour heritage sites. The two nations are also expanding cooperation in trade and hydropower.
