Truck drivers recount horrors of Nepal protests as Sonauli India-Nepal border reopens amid violence
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) reported 553 Indian citizens entered India via the Panitanki border crossing with Nepal amid ongoing unrest in the Himalayan nation, Nepal.

The Sonauli India-Nepal border was reopened after being closed for about four to five days. Authorities have allowed only trucks carrying essential goods to cross. During the closure, hundreds of truck drivers remained stranded at the border, leading to the spoilage of perishable items such as onions and raw materials. Some drivers voiced concern about entering Nepal, stating that the situation there still feels unsafe and poses risks to their lives and vehicles.
