Tesla Cybertruck joins Mexican police fleet, aims to bolster security ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup
The Jalisco State Police added three Tesla Cybertrucks to its patrol fleet in May, aiming to utilize these vehicles as mobile intelligence units equipped with advanced technology to bolster security efforts across the state ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Earlier, Jalisco’s Governor Pablo Lemus defended the government investment of $60 million to acquire over 690 vehicles for the state’s security department, including three Tesla Cybertrucks. The three Tesla Cybertrucks are expected to be deployed as mobile units for intelligence operations, searches, arrests, criminal containment, and security tasks across the state’s 12 regions.
