“Such attacks can never break my spirit…” CM Rekha Gupta’s first reaction after “Jan Sunwai” attack
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta released her first statement following the attack during the “Jan Sunwai” program. “I was in shock after the attack, but I am feeling better now,” said CM Gupta. Condemning the incident, she added, “Such attacks can never break my spirit or my resolve to serve the people. The Chief Minister was attacked at her residence during the Jan Sunwai on August 20. Delhi Police have identified the accused as Rajesh Kimji, reportedly from Rajkot, Gujarat. According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the attacker had prepared for 24 hours before targeting the Delhi CM.
