‘Positive meeting: Trump-Xi meet transforms US-China ties, to build military-to-military channels
President Trump hinted at a major turn in US-China relations after meeting with President Xi Jinping. Taking to ‘X’, War Secretary Pete Hegeth said, Trump and he discussed US-China improved ‘better’ ties. The two president met on the sidelines of APEC Summit held in South Korean’s Busan on October 30. Hegseth called his meeting with Chinese counterpart Admiral Dong Jun, in Malaysia “equally positive.” He shared that both of them agreed “peace, stability, & good relations” are best path for both US & China. Just before Hegseth, Trump shared a post stated, his ‘G2 meeting’ with Xi, “great one” for both the nations. He said, this meeting will lead “everlasting peace and success”, Hegseth added that Dept. of War ‘do the same’. Hegseth also informed, he and China’s Admiral Dong agreed on setting up military-to-military channels to deconflict, de-escalate any problems. He further added, more meeting in future between USA-China are coming soon.
