Patriotic display at Srinagar’s Lal Chowk: Men from Gujarat, Rajasthan celebrate Independence Day
In a striking display of patriotism on 79th Independence Day, two men from Gujarat and Rajasthan were seen celebrating at the iconic Ghanta Ghar in Srinagar’s Lal Chowk. One had his body painted in the Tricolour which symbolizing the national pride and unity. With national flag in hand and hearts full of patriotism, their celebration echoed the spirit of a united India in one of its most iconic squares.
“Since 2015, I have been initiating Tiranga Yatra to Lal Chowk. This is the 10th time I have hoisted the Tiranga here. Even though the government started the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign recently, we have been doing this for years. As of now, we have distributed more than 20 lakhs tirangas, and our campaign is still ongoing…,” said Balbeer Singh.
“Every year, I come here to deliver a message of peace and brotherhood. I hope peace and brotherhood will be here because Pakistani terrorists do not want harmony and unity here…,” said Arun.
