Speaking on reports of her contesting elections, Folk Singer Maithili Thakur on Oct 07 said that she was curious and waiting for an official announcement. “I am very excited with the manner in which I have been seeing the photos and articles. I am curious, but I am waiting for an official announcement…I want to go back to my village. But if I get the authority to serve my region, there will be nothing bigger than that for me…I am not coming here to do politics or play games, my goal is to have power to bring about a change…Next 5 years are very crucial for Bihar, we are grateful for what Nitish Kumar has done for us…,” said Maithili Thakur.
