“No Govt in Darjeeling…” BJP alleged CM Mamata of discrimination towards to North West Bengal
BJP MP Raju Bista visits Mirik to meet the landslide-affected victims. He alleged CM Mamata of discrimination towards to North West Bengal, and accussed him of inactivity towards problems of Darjeeling.
He said, “300 to 500 mm rainfall lashed in almost 12 hours…National highways, rural roads, all are blocked… The central government has established an NDRF-SDRF fund, which has a budget of Rs. 6,000 Crore from 2021 to 2026…I request CM Mamata Banerjee to announce this as a disaster now that she is visiting Siliguri today…We are submitting a report, and the central government will take the necessary actions…We do not have a government in Darjeeling…The IMD announced this 3 days ago, but no awareness campaigns were conducted, and no helplines were issued.”
